Anointed Singer, Teacher, and Woman of God...Sister Whitney Burns is a great leader in the Body of Christ.
Raised in a military family, Sis. Whitney has lived, worked, and traveled all over the United States. Her secular job experience includes special events planning as well as teaching special needs kids. She is highly gifted with singing ability, and the Lord has anointed her to be a great mother and leader of women.
Sister Whitney became involved in ministry in 1993 at Harvest Fellowship Church under the leadership of Pastor Jay's father, Jerry Burns, Sr. Upon marrying Pastor Jay in 1998, she joined his side in ministry. Since then, Sis. Whitney has worked as Praise and Worship Leader, Sunday School Teacher, Nursery Coordinator, and Special Events Organizer in our church. She has also helped her husband minister in various Revivals, Campmeetings, Conferences, and Outreaches throughout the nation. Sis. Whitney has been involved in all levels of children's/youth ministry, street/tent ministry, bus/van ministry, food ministry...and so on.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Speech Communication from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, a Master's Degree in Christian School Administration, and a Certificate in Teaching Special Education. We are proud to have Sis. Whitney as our "First Lady" and as a minister in our church.
