What the Bible Says
  • The Bible is the Word of God.  It is God-breathed and our infallible rule of faith and practice.
  • The One, Only, and True God of the Bible is revealed in three persons...Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • Jesus Christ is God come in the flesh - 100% God and 100% man.  He is God's Only Begotten Son - our Lord, Master, Savior, and soon-coming King.  He died on the Cross to purchase our salvation, deliverance, and healing.
  • Salvation from sin comes only through Christ.  We attain salvation by repenting of sin, believing on Jesus Christ, and confessing Him as Lord.
  • The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is an experience for believers today.  It empowers believers to live victoriously over sin and to be powerful and effective witnesses for God.  After receiving this baptism, several "Gifts of the Spirit" and "Fruit of the Spirit" manifest in the life of the believer.  Speaking in tongues is the initial physical evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit and divine proof that Jesus made it back to Heaven.
  • Divine healing of the sick is a privilege of believers today and is provided for in Christ's sacrificial death on the Cross.
  • The rapture, also called the "Catching Away" and "The Blessed Hope", is a future event when all believers who have died will rise from their graves and will meet the Lord in the air, then believers who are still alive will be caught up with them in the air, to be with the Lord forever in Heaven.
  • Heaven is a real place, prepared for all who have accepted Jesus as their Lord.  It is the eternal reward of the righteous, true believers. Hell is also a real place - originally prepared for the devil and his demons – intended as eternal punishment (fire, darkness, separation) for all who have rejected Christ and His gift of salvation.
Our Doctrine
2 Timothy 4:1-5
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;  And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.  But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
At Covenant of Life, we "Just Have Church".  We don't come to make social or emotional connections with other people, but to make a spiritual and supernatural connection with Almighty God.  When you come to our church, you will experience God in several ways:

Through praise and worship
Through prayer
Through the preaching of God's Word
Through the outpouring of God's presence and power
Through manifestations of the Holy Spirit

How do we praise and worship God?  Well, at Covenant of Life, we...
